Vacation Begins

Jared's vacation started yesterday, and I'm officially on vacation today. Yipeee! We are very excited to have some time off job-work to do house-work. Jared started by painting the first round of roses on Petunia's room. Truxton supervised. They did such a good job!

We're looking forward to seeing family. landscaping, and decorating during our vacation. And then May brings more fun with graduations for Jared & Hannah, baby showers, and watching the flowers blooms.

Aunt Boo Turns 21

Jared and I traveled to Northwest Arkansas over the weekend to celebrate Becca's 21st birthday. We met my mom and Sondra there as well. I think it's so sweet our little sister wanted to share her 21st with her family...instead of a rowdy day with drunken friends. Of course, I wouldn't have minded having a few drinks but doc says that would be very bad for the baby. Guess we'll have to celebrate again after August.

Baby Update - 23 1/2 Weeks

In case you’re wondering, the 1/2 is just as important as the full week. At least it makes me feel better.

At our 23 weeks and 4 day appointment today, Petunia’s heart rate was 160 and she’s measuring right on schedule. This is no surprise to me since she gives me kicks and nudges throughout the day reminding me she’s in there.
Jared’s high school art classes and the natural Flinn handiness is starting to bring the nursery to life. A couple weeks ago we hung the ceiling fan and chandalier, and this week we started painting the green on green stripes. I use “we” lightly, since Jared’s the real creator and I’m just assisting.
